Lextera is a down-to-earth, skilled law firm. Our company name, Lextera, comes from the Latin words “lex” and “terra”. The first part of the name, lex, refers to the legal services we offer, while terra means earth.

The earth is important to me, Anne. The idea that it needs to be gently and carefully cultivated to be able to sow is fundamental to me. Careful sowing yields a good harvest. This analogy comes from my upbringing on a farm in Hirvlax, Nykarleby. Early on, I participated in the work on the farm, which demonstrated the importance of careful groundwork in achieving the best end results. I have brought this idea to Lextera Law and it motivates me to do thorough preparations, which yield lasting results for my customers. I graduated with a Master of Laws from Helsinki University in 2010. I had more than a decade of work experience before founding Lextera. While I was studying, I worked in several large lawyer’s offices, then as a trainee at the Ostrobothnian District Court while I became Master of Laws with court training, later as a lawyer within occupational health and safety at the Regional State Administrative Agency, and also as a referendum at Vaasa Court of Appeal, and as a lawyer at EY (previously Ernst & Young). I have also studied the law in Australia and represented Finland in a trial and argumentation competition in Brussels. I graduated with a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration in 2016 and in 2019 I passed my bar examination. Over the years, I have been commissioned for many lectures and held several commissions of trust. Among other things, I have been in Suomen hovioikeustuomarit ry and I am currently in the Mothers in Business ry association as well as on the committee of the Project Liv rf association. Family is very important to me – our three kids, in particular – as well as keeping our family farm running through a partnership in our farming and forestry association.   Anne Lindgren-Slotte Founder
